National events

For 30 years now, Toyota enthusiasts have been meeting yearly to show off cars and flex a bit of horsepower muscle at the Toyota Nationals. 2006 had a small group of members make the long drive to Dubbo for the 'Nats' and 2007 saw the return of some show cars from Queensland make the long trek to the event.

The club also encourages members to get involved in other sporting events - with some regularly volunteering for National rally events (ARC) in Queensland and elsewhere.

With motorsport volunteers now required to be licensed by CAMS and event organisers finding it difficult to get volunteers to help at events like rallies and circuit racing - clubs like ours will become the recruiting ground for these organisations and we encourage it (hint: volunteering means you get in free!).

We also attend a Queensland event that's become something of a national institution - the All-Toyota Day. Organised by the Rising Sun Collectors Register of Australia, this day sees all kinds of Toyotas and their owners appear out of the woodwork - rare classics and modern-day street racers all roll up for a day of gawking, photographing and talking.
