Classic rego

Some questions answered

With club member's cars starting to hit 30 years old more frequently these days, it's probably a good time to remind everyone about the conditions assocaited with getting 'classic' or 'club' rego as it' sometimes called.

In a nutshell, it does mean that you can use your classic car for any club event (and that includes events run by other clubs), take it to workshops and tune in the suburbs around your house.

You need to have in the car some paperwork relating to the event (a club newsletter with the event in the calendar would do) and a current club membership card.

If you're just after cheap registration for your daily-driver then don't bother. You'll get caught and the club will get spanked as we're partly involved in enabling you to get cheaper rego.

Rather than re-hash wold information, read more about it here (102kB) - it's an article that we ran in the Jan-Feb 2007 club newsletter.
